You fly to Split – we take you all the way
Book your flight to Split, then we take care of the rest: minibus to the harbour, ferry across the Adriatic and the last stretch along the coast to Lost Villa. This is how it works.
Transfer times
Book any flight you like
You choose the airline and where you fly from. We run several shared transfers during the day and put you on the one that suits your flight – to keep it as smooth as possible with as little waiting as possible. The only thing that matters is the times:
Arrival day (Saturday)
by 19:00
Your flight must land in Split by 19:00 at the latest.
Departure day (Saturday)
09:40 or later
Your flight must leave Split at 09:40 or later.
🌙 Times don’t work for you? If you land after 19:00 on the arrival Saturday, you can stay overnight in Split and we’ll arrange a transfer from Split harbour on Sunday morning. If your flight home leaves before 09:40 on the departure Saturday, you can choose a transfer to Split harbour on Friday and stay the night in Split. In that case you arrange your own accommodation in Split and the journey between the airport and the harbour.
⏳ Expect some waiting. We gather the group at the airport and the ferries run to a timetable – a great chance to have lunch or stroll around Split’s old town.

From Split Airport we take you by minibus, ferry and car along the coast all the way to Lost Villa. How long it takes depends on the ferry timetable and how long we wait for the group – see it as part of the holiday and have lunch or stroll around Split’s old town while you wait for the boat.

How to get here
- Split Airport → the harbour (approx. 30 min)We meet you at the airport and drive to Split harbour, where we gather the group.
- Ferry to Hvar (approx. 2 hrs)The ferry crosses the Adriatic to Stari Grad. There may be some waiting time in Split – a great chance to have lunch in the old town.
- The last stretch (approx. 1 hr)From Stari Grad we drive along the coastal roads to the peace and quiet of Lost Villa.

End the week in Split
Spend an evening in Split
Would you like to end the week with an evening in Split? Then we’ll drive you to the ferry on Friday and book your ferry ticket to Split.
Departure from Lost Villa is after lunch, so you have time to check in to your accommodation in Split, wander through the white alleys of Diocletian’s Palace, have a drink on the Riva promenade and enjoy a really good dinner in the old town – before flying home on Saturday.
You arrange your own accommodation in Split and transport to the airport on Saturday.
Car hire
Get here by car
If a few friends are travelling together, hiring a car at Split Airport and driving to Lost Villa yourselves can be a good option. You’ll have your own car all week and can take trips and explore the island whenever you like.
Car hire isn’t usually very expensive, but expect a fee for insurance and often an extra fee for taking the car to the island (varies, around 50 euros). We don’t recommend any particular rental company – they’re fairly similar. Choose a small SUV if you can, it’s easier on the gravel road down to Lost Villa, but an ordinary car works fine too.
Car ferry: Take the Split – Stari Grad ferry and book your ticket in advance at jadrolinija.hr. You can also take the Drvenik – Sućuraj car ferry to the eastern part of the island, which has more departures.
Driving directions
How to find Lost Villa
The last stretch is a gravel road that can feel a little adventurous the first time – but we promise it’s worth it! We’ve driven it thousands of times in completely ordinary small cars. Take it easy and drive slowly, and you’ll be absolutely fine.
- To Split or DrvenikDrive to the ferry port in Split or Drvenik.
- Ferry to HvarSplit – Stari Grad or Drvenik – Sućuraj. Timetables and tickets at jadrolinija.hr.
- Drive to the church in GdinjDrive all the way to the church in Gdinj – see the map. Google Maps usually shows a different, shorter route, but we don’t recommend it the first time.
- South towards the seaTurn south towards the water. The road is paved all the way down to the sea.
- Right at the seaWhen you reach the sea, turn right.
- The gravel road along the seaContinue for about 10 minutes on the gravel road along the water, past Srhov Dolac, to the very end. You’ve arrived!
Don’t follow Google Maps blindly! Google Maps usually suggests a shorter route down a steep gravel road straight to the sea. The first time, we recommend driving via the church in Gdinj instead – then it’s asphalt almost all the way down to the sea, and only the last stretch along the water is gravel.

If your flight is so delayed that you miss the last transfer and ferry, we’ll help you arrange accommodation in Split and transport to the island the next day. You pay the extra costs on site at cost price.
